When you and your loved ones visit, we’ll share a warm cup of coffee or tea, visit the gardens and active community lounges and check out a sample residence. Your tour also features a fabulous meal in our dining room. You’ll have time to talk with our friendly residents and staff, have all your questions answered and learn first-hand how enjoyable life is at our community. Great food, great company and plenty of events and outings await you when you join us at Sanctuary at Bellbrook.

Short-term Rehabilitation Stays
Many seniors who need short-term rehabilitation services join our community following hospitalization. Our team of rehabilitation professionals works closely with each senior’s attending physician to help patients gain the functional ability and ongoing stability needed to return home as soon as possible. We also offer these services to our Nursing Care residents who have long-term rehabilitation needs.

When You’re Ready to Move In
Once you’ve visited Sanctuary at Bellbrook and decided to join our community, please contact us at (248) 656-6300. Our Hospitality Director will be ready to welcome you and help guide you through the move-in process.

Our community staff will also help you obtain or complete any documents that may be needed prior to joining the community. Here’s how the move-in process works:

  • New residents need to complete and submit an Application for Admission. After selecting your apartment, your move-in date will be agreed upon with upon with community staff (we’ll work with you to schedule a convenient date and time). Our apartments have a one-year lease. When you receive your paperwork by mail, you’ll also get a welcome letter and information on:
  • How to set up your utilities
  • Storage room
  • Movers, if needed
  • Meet the hospitality director a few days before your move-in date to sign lease papers. You’ll receive a full community information packet and be introduced to our other staff members. Our Activities Coordinator will ask about your interests and invite you to join in our activities. A Welcoming Committee resident will invite you to a complimentary lunch or dinner and introduce you to other residents.

  • Once you’ve moved in and become settled, our Wellness Nurse will pay you a visit. Our Activities Coordinator will ask about your interests and invite you to begin enjoying the exciting lifestyle at Sanctuary at Bellbrook!
  • New residents need to complete and submit an Application for Admission. Other documents may include a medical report with a chest X-Ray (current within 90 days); a list of current medications, to be completed and signed by your physician; photocopies of your medical insurance cards, Durable Power of Attorney, Power of Attorney and Guardianship papers.

  • After receiving these materials, our Admissions Office will schedule a convenient move-in date and time. There are no move-in fees or security deposits for Assisted Living residents, but we do require payment for one month. Our Nursing staff will provide you with an assessment so you can begin receiving the appropriate level of care.

  • Once you’ve settled in, our Activities Coordinator will ask about your interests and invite you to begin enjoying the exciting lifestyle at Sanctuary at Bellbrook!
  • New residents may need to obtain a medical report with a chest X-Ray (current within 90 days) and a list of current medications, to be completed and signed by your physician. The Admissions Office can provide blank forms for your doctor. If the senior is at the hospital, medical records may be sent via FAX. We may also require payment verification information (insurance, private payment or Medicaid).

  • After receiving these materials, our Admissions Office will schedule a convenient move-in date and time. Be sure that a family member is present on your move-in day to sign admission documents, provide consent for services and copies of insurance cards and legal documents.

  • Once you’ve settled in, our Wellness Nurse will pay you a visit. Our Activities Coordinator will ask about your interests and invite you to begin enjoying the exciting lifestyle at Sanctuary at Bellbrook!
