To schedule your personal community tour, call us today at (586) 751-6200. We’ll arrange a convenient time for you and your loved ones to visit.

Many seniors who need short-term rehabilitation services join our community following hospitalization. Our team of rehabilitation professionals works closely with each senior’s attending physician to help patients gain the functional ability and ongoing stability needed to return home as soon as possible. We also offer these services to our Nursing Care residents who have long-term rehabilitation needs.

For further information about short-term rehabilitation stays at our community, please contact us at (586) 751-6200. A Rehabilitation Services professional will answer all your questions about how we can help your loved one.

Once you’ve visited Sanctuary at the Abbey and decided to join our community, please contact us at (586) 751-6200. Our Hospitality Director will be ready to welcome you and help guide you through the move-in process.

Our community staff will also help you obtain or complete any documents that may be needed prior to joining the community. Some of these documents may include:
  • A medical report with a chest X-Ray (current within 90 days) and list of current medications, to be completed and signed by your physician. The Admissions Office can provide blank forms for your doctor. If the senior is at the hospital, medical records may be sent via FAX.
  • Payment verification information (insurance, private payment or Medicaid).

After receiving these materials, our Admissions Office will schedule a convenient move-in date and time. Be sure that a family member is present on your move-in day to sign admission documents, provide consent for services and copies of insurance cards and legal documents.

Once you’ve settled in, our Activities Coordinator will ask about your interests and invite you to begin enjoying the exciting lifestyle at Sanctuary at the Abbey!
