Are Nursing Care fees covered by insurance?
Long-term care residents must either pay privately or cover charges through Medicaid or long-term care insurance. Verify coverage with your insurance provider. Contact the community for information on short-term care costs.
Is a security deposit required?
We do not require a security deposit, but new Nursing Care residents must submit payment verification information before moving in (insurance, private payment or Medicare).
What are some of the activities you offer? Can a resident opt out of an activity?
We schedule regular trips to parks, shopping centers, restaurants, entertainment venues and more. Within our community we offer game and movie nights, resident clubs, special musical performances and other events as requested by the residents. Our staff will make regular visits with residents who are unable or choose not to participate in activities.
Do I have to be Catholic to live at Sanctuary at Alexander?
No. We welcome residents of all faiths.
Who is responsible for the medical care of my family member or loved one?
Medical care is directed by each resident’s physician, working with Sanctuary at Alexander’s medical director. Our trained staff includes a dietitian, licensed nurses, certified nurse aides and social workers. Physical, speech, restorative and occupational therapy are also available.
Who will contact me if my family member or loved one has a health issue?
Our nursing staff will contact the family in the event a resident has a health issue or is hospitalized.
Can family members dine with residents?
Yes, in fact we encourage it. Guests simply pay for their own meals.
Are family pets allowed in the community?
Regular visits by family pets can be arranged. Please contact the community hospitality director for more information.
Can you help accommodate my loved one as their medical needs change?
